Director of Operations

Denver, COFull Time
RestorationReconstructionOperations Leadership

Quick Overview

My client is looking for an operational leader to run the day-to-day of a $20M+ restoration operation in Denver. 70+ team members across mitigation, reconstruction, and sales. The team is solid and the business is growing, but there is an opportunity for a senior leader to step in, raise the bar, and build the operational foundation for the next phase of growth. If you've run restoration operations at scale and you know how to develop mid-level managers into real leaders, this is the role.

THE WHO

An owner-operated restoration company backed by a 50-year-old network of nearly 400 offices across the US and Canada. The Denver market is led by a seasoned multi-market operator who has built profitable restoration businesses and knows what good leadership looks like. This is a well-capitalized, stable operation with strong ownership, proven systems, and a culture that rewards performance through profit sharing. The owner is not a micromanager. He is looking for an executive-caliber leader who thinks like an owner and can run this operation and grow with it.

THE WHAT

You will own the operations. Team performance, production management, project delivery, P&L, and operational efficiency for the entire Denver market. You are responsible for everything from how crews perform in the field to how the numbers look at the end of the month.

THE WHY

Every restoration job is someone's crisis. A pipe burst at 2am. A kitchen fire that displaced a family. A commercial building with water damage that has 50 employees waiting to get back to work. The better you run this operation, the faster those people get their lives back. This is one of the few industries where operational excellence has a direct human impact every single day.

THE WHERE

Denver, CO. In-office and in the field. This is a boots-on-the-ground leadership role. Candidates must be in the Denver metro or willing to relocate.

The Role

You are the operational backbone. You manage the mitigation and reconstruction teams, oversee production, ensure quality and compliance, and own the financial performance of the operation. You don't just manage people. You build leaders. You take the mid-level managers in this office and develop them into the kind of leaders who can run departments without you standing over them. You report to an owner who trusts good operators, gives real autonomy, and invests in the people who produce. This is a role with a clear path to senior leadership for the right person.
