Mitigation Project Manager
Quick Overview
My client is hiring a Mitigation Project Manager for their Hatfield, PA office. This is the dominant restoration operation in Eastern PA. $50M+ business, 150 people, multiple offices, the shop everyone in this market already knows by reputation. The Mit PM runs water, fire, smoke, and mold mitigation projects from the first call to the handoff to reconstruction. This is for someone who has been in the field on restoration losses and is ready to run their own portfolio with a real comp structure behind it.
THE WHO
Same operation as the Reconstruction PM. The premier restoration brand in Eastern PA. $50M+ in revenue. 150 people across the region. The mitigation side is run by a Director of Mitigation who reports into the General Manager. The COO interviews you, makes the call in 2 weeks, and gets out of the way once you are running your portfolio.
THE WHAT
You will own a portfolio of mitigation projects. Water extraction, structural drying, smoke and odor cleanup, mold remediation, demolition, and containment. You assess the loss, build the action plan, direct the technicians on-site, document everything inside the company RMS, and hand off a clean job to the reconstruction team. You supervise mitigation technicians and lead techs. You partner with the Director of Mitigation on staffing, scheduling, and resource calls. You take part in the on-call rotation for emergency response.
THE WHY
Mitigation is the first call. The job is to walk into someone's worst day, get the water out, dry the structure, contain the damage, and start the path back to normal. The work matters and the people who do it well are the foundation of every restoration operation. If you love the front end of the work, this is where you live.
THE WHERE
Hatfield, PA. In-office and in the field. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate to the Hatfield or Suburban Philly area. On-call rotation is part of the role.
The Role
You run mitigation projects start to finish. Initial loss assessment, mitigation action plan, technician direction, drying documentation, customer communication, and handoff to reconstruction. You are accountable for project profitability, cycle times, and quality of every job in your portfolio. You manage the technicians on the ground and lead the mitigation crew through the work. The COO is direct about what he is looking for. Someone who should own their own contracting business but does not want the headache. Smart, organized, aggressive, driven. Comfortable in the chaos of mitigation work.
